Meeting internet friends IRL
A fun feature I was interviewed in plus how to book business class to Europe (today) with 48K points!
I woke up today to a bunch of new subscribers (hi and welcome!) thanks to featuring a feature on me/Brooklyn Family Travelers in her wonderful Substack newsletter . I highly recommend subscribing if you aren’t already following her!
We talked about being a mom in Brooklyn, where you can find me on the weekends (when I’m not traveling!), my top tips for travel with points and without, my travel wardrobe, my favorite shoes, notes on where I’ve been and where I hope to go — and more. It was so fun and I hope you enjoy it!
I’m working on a couple new posts for you all - one will include some in-depth points and miles info and another is a recap of the first leg of our trip, Amsterdam!
I have a little bit of writer’s block over this last trip (Amsterdam - Berlin - Paris). I think there are a couple reasons for it — it’s May and busy but a major one being that it’s a weird and scary time in the world and this trip was a little heavy (though Amsterdam not so much, Berlin was very heavy!).
So often, writing about travel is an escape from the realities of the world but in this case, much of what we saw and did — especially in Berlin — just reminded me of the horrors that humans are capable of and tbh it was a lot.
But that’s part of what is incredible about travel. You walk down new streets, hear different languages and get perspectives on history — as well as the current moment — that you might not see otherwise.
Those will be hitting your inbox soon!
Reminder (application denials aren’t final)
If you applied for the 100K offer (or any card!) and got denied or the application went into review, a quick call can make all the difference. See this info here and keep me posted if you need any help! It is not worth assuming you were not eligible just because you got denied. Many people get denied and that can very often be turned around with a phone call.
If this card’s not right for you at this time, fill this out and I’ll help you find the right card (and help you get some welcome bonus points!).
Have FOMO and unable to get that 100K offer?
There is another elevated offer ending on 5/12 from another bank that will earn you 75K points and a $250 credit. It also earns you 2x on ALL purchases which is huge. This card is the FIFTH card here (and below) if you click “our favorite cards”.
Message me with any questions!
Don’t miss out! Free webinar (with prizes!)
A reminder about the FREE webinar I’ll be hosting in a couple weeks!
On May 21st at 1pm ET, I’ll be hosting a webinar with Steward, a modern estate planning company (recorded if you can’t make it live!).
Come join Brooklyn Family Travelers and Steward, to learn about the basics of estate planning, the difference between a will and a trust, and how planning makes traveling as a family easier.
A few lucky winners will receive a wine & charcuterie package, a private 1:1 points and miles coaching session with Brooklyn Family Travelers and more!
All registrants will receive a recording of the webinar and $1,000 off their bespoke, comprehensive estate plan from Steward (regularly priced at $3,000).
Please be sure to register ASAP to secure your spot. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
How to book business class for 48K points
We finally got the school schedule for our older son’s new middle school for next year (middle school! how!?!) and I spent yesterday loosely mapping out our spring break 2026.
I am not telling you this to make you panic or make you feel like you are late to plan, but sometimes planning early can have major benefits when it comes to finding saver availability (the lowest price an airline charges in points for a particular route).
And at the same time, planning last minute can ALSO be great (see the list of dates with last minute availability for spring/summer below!).
I booked our spring break trip using Emirates points which can be transferred from the 100K card bank (affiliate rules! Can’t mention the bank name here - sorry! dm me for it). I was able to get business class to Milan and back from Athens for the 4 of us, all using points.
Think A380, double decker plane, champagne, boarding from the fancy airport lounge, etc. Totally unnecessary luxury but SO FUN and comfy — and all for less than the cost of economy tickets.
And if you’d rather have your points stretch out farther to take more trips? That’s even better. Imagine if one can use points to book 4 round trip tickets to Europe in business class on Emirates, how much those same points can get you in economy!
And lest you think the only way I can do this is because folks use my links, NOPE! Those are affiliate and not referral links. The links help support the growth of Brooklyn Family Travelers by providing me with a commission when you use my links - not points! The points I get the same way all of you do — by spending, strategically opening credit cards to take advantage of welcome bonuses and putting spending on the right cards.
I only recommend cards that I believe are going to be the best for you and your travels. For example…
I’ve come across some incredible deals to fly business class to Europe for 48K points each way from NYC to Europe this year and next!
See below for the specific airline, dates, airports to fly out of, hotels I love and directions on how to book.

Happy planning!:
