Brooklyn Family Travelers started on Facebook and Instagram where it was normal to post multiple times a week (and day) so forgive me if sometimes I do a little extra! Still getting used to Substack.
I have two important things that can’t wait for a week from now or three days or however long I *should* probably wait between posts ;)
The new class is on Tuesday!
First! The class I posted about yesterday, the beginners guide to using points (How to Spend 100K Points Wisely), is next TUESDAY, not Wednesday 🤦🏼♀️. Thanks to the readers who pointed that out! The link is correct, just not the day in the email I sent.
Sign up here (don’t miss it!). I am SO excited for this one. It is especially for all of you who got the 100K elevated bonus but it’s really for anyone who wants to learn the basics! This will be a game changer class for many of you.
This class is a one-off and will likely not be available to sign up for after the fact. So, don’t miss it!
The Father’s Day gift guide is here!
Second, I have a traveler’s Father’s Day gift guide for you! How is Father’s day in less than a week? Somehow this holiday crept right up on me and I want to make sure you have enough time to order things for any dad’s in your life!
Read on for some of my favorites — and don’t tell Kamali because he’s probably getting something on this list ;)
Bose earbuds: these actually cancel the noise on airplanes. Like for real. And I take them with me everywhere.
Filson backpack: My husband has been a stay at home dad since the kids were little — and we used the coolest Filson tote as a diaper bag for all those years. I’ll never part with it. As a former equestrian (story for another day!) I love the rugged English vibe of Filson.
Folding bag: a must on every trip! If not to bring back stuff you buy, it’s perfect for laundry.
Buck Mason Polo: I am guilty of dressing my kids in crew cuts and they just look like mini-Kamalis when we travel but I am okay with it even if he’s not lol.
Puebco shoe bags: Necessary! Mixing shoes in with your clothes is gross - admit it.
Patagonia Houdini jacket: Folds up to basically nothing and perfect for trips! I wish we’d had this in Costa Rica and last weekend in Savannah when it rained unpredictability. I’d get the black or green!
Oura ring: I mean, it’s a gadget but you can also use it to argue with real data that he slept more soundly than you and he should get the kids up, so for that alone it’s worth it.
TheraGun mini: great for travel!
Portable speaker: music makes a house feel like home, which is important when you’re traveling. We always take this one with us on every trip.
Assouline coffee table books: I love having these gorgeous large scale books of places we’ve been sitting out to flip through. Pick one that’s a place you want to go to or have been together. Include a note in it to personalize! There’s also Lake Como, Comporta, Capri, St. Barth’s, etc! They are all beautiful.
Toiletry bag: I have this one in grey and LOVE it.
Away carry-on: I am a big fan. And the warranty makes it a no brainer. I love that if there’s an issue they take care of it right away!
A few other favorites: This mug, this cooler, and these shades!
You can see my whole list HERE as well.
Many of these are affiliate links — I appreciate if you use them if you decide to get any of these gifts. Remember, I only recommend items I know and love 🖤
Ok! Happy shopping!
Need a wallet edit to figure out which card to get next to earn more points? Or looking for any other intel on which card to use for what?
